During World War 2 the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) were awarded 17 Battle Honours, the most widely known was the Normandy Landings, which included D-Day itself.

To celebrate this historic event in the regiments history the Heritage Association shall be holding an annual D-Day Fundraising Event. Next year, 2019 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings and it is appropriate to make 2019 our inaugural Annual Fundraising event.

The DDay Fundraiser will take place on Saturday 1st June 2019 at the International Hotel in Doncaster. Cost for this event is £20 per person which will include a buffet meal.

Due to fire regulations there is a limit on how many can attend, so please book early to guarantee your place.


The Doncaster International is located on White Rose Way next to the Lakeside Shopping Centre just of Jct 3 of the M18 and is a short distance by taxi from Doncaster Bus & Train Station.

To book a room at the Doncaster International just call 01242 582172 and quote '13th/18th Hussars' They have agreed a rate of £70 for a double/twin room for the Saturday night (per room not per person) and £7.50 for Breakfast (per person).

For those that wish to make a weekend of it they have also agreed a rate of £36.55 for the Friday night (double/twin room)

A WW2 Sherman (in Regimental D-Day markings) model will be on offer. There is no cost for this draw but you must be at the event to claim it.
